Welcome to the Show
Welcome to the wild world of the Free Form Rock Podcast, where we embrace every riff, solo, and scandalous hairdo from the glorious era of rock! If you’re a purist, a metal elitist who believes that any sound that isn’t an 8-minute guitar solo is akin to sacrilege, then this is your warning: you might want to turn down the volume and stick to your ‘perfect’ playlist filled with only the heaviest and most obscure bands that your no-caffeine diet can handle. Here, we celebrate everything from shaking your head to classic rock anthems to moshing like a maniac at a metal concert! We love all the forms of rock—classic, metal, and everything in between. So, if your idea of a good time is debating over which band had the best leather pants, you’re in for quite the ride! Sit back, relax, and remember: we don’t take ourselves too seriously—because if we did, we’d be stuck in the ‘70s, arguing over whether Led Zeppelin was better than Black Sabbath while wearing questionable platform shoes. Join us as we rock out the way rock was meant to be—loud, unapologetic, and just a little ridiculous! Tune in, turn it up, and let’s jam through the delightful chaos of our favorite tunes together!

Badlands
Today, we are joined by a cool guest host, James West, to review the first album by a group with members who might be more well known for other things they did but we turn people on to this project. Is it worth hearing? Listen to the episode and find out! We had fun making the episode. Our tracks of the week are Grand Funk Railroad's "Sin's A Good Man's Brother", Red Dragon Cartel's "Feeder" and Badlands' "Last Time." We close things with Lee's song "Do Stuff Now." As always, have fun, crank up the stereo and listen... to good podcasts!

Today, we are reviewing an album by a group with a cool vocalist who used to be an actress but her group's music has integrity. Do you want to know what we think about the album? It would be great if you heard the episode. We give various opinions (or at least one of us does). Our tracks of the week are Dennis DeYoung's "With All Due Respect", Fat Mattress' "The Storm" and we finish with Lee's song "Have That Drink." Have some apple pie and ice cream for the heck of it. Heehee. Cheers, everybody!

Tamalpais Exchange - On this episode, we review an obscure album from 1970 that is still somewhat easy to locate. You can hear whether we like it or not. We become very opinionated. Our tracks of the week are Night Ranger’s “You Can Still Rock In America” and Dave Mason’s “To Be Free.” We close with Lee’s song “When The Curtains Are Drawn.” Remember, whatever else is going on in your life, music still has its charms. Cheers!
